There is a quiet kind of courage that rarely gets spoken about. It doesn’t wear armor or raise its voice. It whispers. It nudges. It asks us to take a step in a direction that doesn’t make sense to anyone – including ourselves.
Have you ever had the urge to suddenly paint, even though you’re not an artist? Or to walk a different route, say yes to something you never considered before, speak a truth that trembles on your tongue? These are the small calls of the soul, often irrational, often inconvenient, and yet, unmistakably alive.
We’re taught from a young age to trust the logical path. To value what can be measured, planned, and justified. But some of the most profound openings in our lives begin in places that logic can’t explain. In those odd, playful moments when we feel pulled toward something unexpected. Something we can’t explain but deeply feel.
The first brushstroke on a blank canvas. The decision to leave a job that “should” be enough. The choice to dance naked in your garden at 3am because something inside you needs to move. These acts may seem silly or rebellious, but they often crack open a hidden door to truth. To something real that had been waiting quietly beneath the surface.
When we allow ourselves to follow what doesn’t make sense, we create space for something beyond our conditioning to emerge. This is the playground of the soul.
Maybe your deepest wisdom is dressed in nonsense. Maybe the map isn’t drawn in lines, but in impulses, goosebumps, and joy. And maybe, just maybe, what doesn’t make sense now … is exactly what will change everything.
