Fancy Some Meat Pizza?

by

(1 minute reading time)

Last night, I had a strange dream. The previous evening, after abstaining from meat for a long time, I ate a pizza with salami and bacon and didn’t feel bad about it. Usually, I don’t even feel like eating meat, not even a small portion. However, I was going through some inner processes and it somehow seemed okay, so I wanted to taste it again. As a pizza does not bring out its full flavour without a beer, I had three of those as well.

The dream came in the first part of the night. I was given a tool (a weapon) and asked to cut other people in half with it. It was the same method used on animals in slaughterhouses, but my logical mind wasn’t working in the dream. The only thing I knew was that I had to split someone before they split me.

It was intense, especially the fear and emotions experienced while splitting – or being split, as I don’t quite remember this part. I woke up, terrified, trying to process what had just happened.

I remembered a similar dream from a few months ago, which had also occurred right after I had eaten meat. This time, my head was ripped sideways and I was hanging on a huge hook.

So, I have nightmares of slaughtering or being slaughtered right after eating meat. Where does this come from? Do these bits of information originate from the animals I have eaten, which I then translate into scenes to show me their perspective? Do they show me why people who regularly eat meat tend to be more aggressive and fearful?

This is certainly an effective way of convincing me not to eat meat anymore.
